Do I have to pay for Internet call charges while using Love2Talk & Surf Broadband?
No, Love2Talk & Surf is an always on service and you do not pay any dial-up or call charges to access the service.
How fast is Love2Talk & Surf Broadband?
Love2Talk & Surf (Lite) offers download speeds of up to 1Mb and upload speeds of up to 128Kb.
Love2Talk & Surf download speeds of up to 3Mb and upload speeds of up to 384Kb.
Love2Talk & Surf (Max) offers download speeds of up to 7.6 Mb and upload speeds of up to 672Kb.
Can I keep my existing phone number with Love2Talk & Surf Broadband?
Yes, you can keep your existing phone number.
How long does it take to sign-up?
Usually it's around 10 working days once the sign-up fee (if any) has been paid. In some cases it may take longer, however we will endeavour to keep any delay to a minimum.
What's the minimum contract period for Love2Talk & Surf?
The minimum contract period for Love2Talk & Surf is 12 months.
How will I be billed for Love2Talk & Surf?
Swiftcall will issue a monthly bill detailing your package charges and any applicable usage charges such as phone calls that are not included in your bundle or Broadband Usage in excess of your monthly Usage Allowance. Your package charges are billed monthly in advance while usage is billed monthly in arrears.
If my phone line is with a different phone company can I get Swiftcall broadband?
In order to get Broadband from Swiftcall you must transfer your phone line and calls to Swiftcall. We do not offer a broadband only option.
Can I still use my phone line while I'm connected to the Internet?
Yes, you can make and receive telephone calls & fax's whilst on-line with Love2Talk & Surf Broadband. You will receive a bill for any phone/fax calls that are outside your Love2Talk package as normal.
What do I need to be able to register for Love2Talk & Surf Broadband?
You must have an active phone line*.
You must be over 18 years of age and have one of the following major credit or debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, or Laser. Payment can also be made via Direct Debit.
Your computer must use one of the following operating systems: Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X or any Unix flavour.
Can Swiftcall provide a Modem?
Yes. We can provide either a Wired or a Wireless Modem at the costs as set out on the other charges page. You can also use your own Modem if you already have one.
I'm providing my own ADSL router/modem, what are the settings I need to use?
We will provide you with your Love2Talk & Surf username (eg. cs12345@adsl.utvinternet.ie) and password in your welcome letter/e-mail. Use the below settings as required:
Driver: PPPoE
VPI: 8
VCI: 35
Set up type: LLC
DNS Servers (server assigned):
Primary: 194.46.192.141
Secondary: 194.46.192.142
